The jewel of the Titanic’s interior décor was without doubt its Grand Staircase, located at the ship’s front and reserved for 1st class passengers. On its upper level, a large wooden panel holds a clock surrounded by an allegory representing Honour and Glory crowning Time. At the dinner hour, the passengers, in formal wear, can use this staircase to reach the deck D dining room, or take one of the lifts found just in front.
